cigars to keep me warm...

I don't smoke, but if I'll ever try, I'll go for cigars instead of the ordinary cigarette. When I was still a kid, I so love to smell dried tobacco leaves, the one used by old folks for smoking and I just have the thought that cigars smell like tobacco leaves, though I don't have any clue if my assumption is right. Anyways, we will be going to the winterhouse tomorrow and one thing is for sure: it's freaking cold there! grrrrrrrrrr! So, I just wish I have a box of Black and Mild by Middleton cigars that I can take with me to the winterhouse to keep me warm.:)

off to the winterhouse again...

We'll be going to the winterhouse again tomorrow afternoon and we'll be back on Sunday and we will start practicing the new day off that we agreed upon. Everytime we go t o the winterhouse, I'll go with them in coming back to Barcelona on Sundays, instead of going home on Satudays with the train. And then, my day-off will be Sunday afternoon and whole day of Monday. So, let's see if it will work out just fine. But I think this schedule is good for me to, so I'll have a time to visit the doctor and get a library card since they don't have office hours during Saturdays.

she's going home instead...

I have cousin working in Denmark. She informed me months ago that she's also coming here in BCN before her contract ends there. She'll be coming this March. But just this afternoon, I received a message from her, telling me that she changed her mind already. She's going home instead coz her kids need her more. And the "going home" thingie hit me too coz been working abroad for long now and I haven't been home for 3 years. So, should I go home too? Half of my mind is telling me to go home, but the other half is telling me to stay. It's really confusing. I am going home for sure, but not now, not yet. I have to finish the project that I have in mind before finally going home. And I'm really praying that God will guide me with this project. I want us to have an internet connection too at home before I come home. That way, I can still go on with my blogging and it would be easier for me to look for a job at different jobsites, just like Indianapolis job search, when I'll feel bored staying at home already, hehehe.

Fish oil

I remember the days when my brother and I are still taking fish oil capsules as I stumbled upon Fish Oil website. I have an aunt who used to be a fish oil vitamin dealer. It was actually one of the products of an MLM company where she was a member. So, she talked Mama into trying the product and the result: the entire family like it (the taste and the benefits we get from the fish oil capsules). But we stopped taking the product coz it's a bit expensive and my parents can't just afford to go on with it.:( Poor thing!

a busy week!

I am so relaxed here in my employer's place since the 2-year old boy is back to school now. I have so much free time, but yet I am still busy. :) Yes, I am still busy trying to make all the assignments as a volunteer of Centro Filipino and as a secretary and website moderator of my CFC-FFL family here in Barcelona. And aside from that, I am also in the process of rereading "Purpose Driven Life". So, I am juggling a lot of balls at the same time now and I'm lovin' it! hehehe.

Weekend!

I'm excited to go home tomorrow for the weekend.:) Finally, I can attend my Spanish class tomorrow, my first session for 2010.:) And then after the class, we will go to one of our friends who is having a birthday party. She invited us and we don't want to miss it. So, on my way home, I'm going to buy a gift for her too. And hopefully, we can go home early from the party, so we can sleep earlier. We haven't sleep early during weekends for so long now. And speaking of sleep, I just wish I have a heated mattress pads in the boarding house, just like the ones featured at cozywinters. com coz our room is cold. The window is not totally close, so we need to wear a sweater while sleeping.

no vitamins...

I instantly remember my Mama's pregnancy and my childhood as I stumbled upon prenatalvitamins.org. My Mom got preggy with me when she was still studying college and my father was still a student too. Mom didn't take any prenatal vitamins at all while preggy with me. That's for sure coz they're both dependent on my grandparents for their allowances. :( But, I am so glad coz I still turned out to be a smart kid even without the aid of those vitamins. And I'm thinking that maybe, I'll be smarter if Mom did take prenatal vitamins. She already took vitamins during her pregnancy with my brother, but hey, I am smarter than he is. So, I'm all fine even if my Mom wasn't able to take prenatal vitamins during my time,hehehe.

2nd week of dieting

This week is my 2nd week of dieting and so far, so good. :) I am so glad coz I don't have any problem avoiding : foods with chocolate, soft drink and junk foods. I just wonder why I was so crazy over all those items before. Maybe it's because I keep on thinking about them and thinking that I should eat them. But now, I'm no longer thinking about food, I'm thinking of happy thoughts instead. And when I crave for something, I remind myself of my desire to lose weight and the craving stops immediately. :)

no tea for tonight...

Huhuhu, I'll be missing my evening tea coz the alarm in the house is already on.:( The employers went late, around 11:30pm and I was still here in front of the computer and I thought they'll still watch tv, but after few minutes, the alarm signal was already beeping. :( Yes, they put on the alarm every night for the 1st floor. The alarm will make a sound if there's someone downstairs, so it will be so easy to detect if a robber has break-in into the house. I'll just read the review site for quick trim burn & cleanse and imagine that I'm sipping tea while reading.:)

need a new weighing scale...

I just weighed myself on Saturday night, right after arriving from the winterhouse of my employers and the weighing scale displayed 52 kilos. Hmmm, I really doubt it coz just 1 week before, I weighed myself and it says : 55 kilos. And I don't believe that I already lose the 3 kilos after just a week of dieting. For sure, there's something wrong with the weighing scale, it's not functioning well! So, there's a possibility that the 3 kilos gained weight is just a false alarm. So, I'll weigh myself again the moment I see another weighing scale. Better yet, I should buy a new weighing scale to make sure that it will give me the correct figure. :) Anyways, I just found a site selling diet pills, if you are planning on taking one, just click here to go to there.

20 sit ups...

I'm really serious in getting rid of the 3 kilos that I gained after the Christmas holidays. And as part of the dieting plan, I am doing 20 sit ups before sleeping and right after waking up. This week will be my 2nd week of dieting. Hoping to see some result soo soon.:)

am I balding?

I used to have a very thick hair, but as I started working abroad, I observed that I already have a lot of falling hairs. And it's an everyday occurrence since my Demark days. :( Most of my friends are experiencing the same too. Maybe, it because of the cold weather here. And everytime we take a bath, we use warm water and they said that it's not good for the hair. I already started using not so warm water in taking a bath, but I'm still having falling hair. Should I start taking hair loss shampoo to prevent hair loss? If you have any suggestion on what to do aside from using a hair loss shampoo, please feel free to drop me a message.:)

Sinulog 2010!

I'm so glad coz the celebration of Sinulog 2010 here in Barcelona was a success! Our VisMin Organization was incharge of the celebration,since Sr. Sto. Nino is the Patron Saint of our organization. I was part of the offertory dance during the Mass. I was also part of the celebration last year. But our performance and costume this year is much better than the other year. We were all happy and the performers already agreed to make it even better for next year. Pit Senior!

a birthday party!!

I attended the 7th birthday of of our landlady and landlord's only son yesterday at around pm. The ates were also there. It was a huge celebration, especially for people coming from Laguna. It's their custom to give a huge celebration to their son on the 1st, 7th and 21st birthday. Our landlady asked me to be the emcee and so I did. It was fun being with kids,heheh.

The food was delicious, but I'm glad coz I was able to control my appetite. I wasn't hoarding over the food, like I usually do in parties before. As I've said earlier, 2010 will be a year of several changes and the eating habit is one of them. So, I already started and I'm already having some progress. Don't wanna end up reading colon cleansing reviews in the future coz of too much hoarding.:)

off to the winter house...

I'll be going to the winter house with my employers and the children tomorrow afternoon. The time will depend on what time my male employer arrive from work. I won't be bringing my laptop anymore coz I already learned a lesson the last time we went there and besides, I'll be going home on Saturday afternoon, so it will be a short stay.

My female employer talked to me on Monday about the change schedule of my day off everytime we go to the winter house. Instead of going home by train on Saturday afternoon, I'll be going home with them by car on Sunday around 1pm and then I'll be off until Monday and I'll go back to work on Tuesday morning. And I like the idea coz it takes a long time with the train and also it would be nice to have an off during the weekdays, so I can go visit my doctor for the activation of my health card and go get a library card. It's suppose to be effective this weekend, but I asked for consideration since I already practiced for the dance presentation for the Sinulog celebration at the Church this coming Sunday. Good thing and she's so nice, so she agreed without any problem. Thanks God!

My mother bought a new, red multicab as a gift to herself on her 49th birthday and upon my brother's insistence,hehehe. I haven't seen it yet coz they haven't send me a picture yet, so I told my cousin Dalia to take photos of it and also our house when she come home to our place and share it to me via facebook.:) The car has no insurance yet, so I told my Mom and my brother to inquire from car insurance companies in our province and apply for one so soon.

3 kilos gain...

Huhuhu, I am so depressed coz I gained 3 kilos after the holidays. :( I really didn't feel that I gained weight after all the eating and drinking that I did during the holidays. But I weighed myself after hearing one of my ates saying that I look like I gained weight. And I was horrified upon seeing the figure in the weighing scale coz the ate was right. It was a 3 kilo gain after all,huhuhu.

And now, I am here trying my best to get rid of the gained weight. I am drinking tea 3x a day and drinking a lot of water, a minimum of 1.5 litres a day. And since Monday, I deprived myself from eating junkfoods, any food with chocolate content and softdrink. I just hope that the regimen will work.

A cousin is here for a visit...

I have several cousins working in Denmark and Norway and one is here in BCN, visiting me. I'm so glad that she's visiting me and I hope that she'll enjoy her stay. She's been here since the 4th until the 12th. She'll visit Paris and Amsterdam too, before finally going back to DK. She's having a mini-tour before going home to PI on February. She's staying in the boarding house and we're sharing my bed:). Anyways, I'm so sorry for her coz she's travelling alone and during the winter. Not a very good time to travel coz she has to bring a lot of things with her. But despite it, she's still travelling in style (she's stylish as always), as she came with a luggage similar to Eagle Creek luggage that i saw at luggagebase.com.

back to work 2010!

I'm back at my employer's place this morning and today is my very first working day for 2010! It's another rainy day and the kids are just home. They'll go back to school on Monday. The house is dirty, but not very dirty though and my employer told me after she opened the main door for me "we need your help Julai coz the house is dirty",hehehe. I was already expecting that the house will really be dirty when I come back. Good thing and she also cleaned a bit during my vacation and she also washed the dirty clothes.

i'm going to change some of my routines for 2010 and hope to succeed with the plan.:)

watching news...

I'm here in my room, surfing the net, but the ates are already asleep. I watched some tv shows in Pinas earlier and also watched the latest episode of TV Patrol World. As usual, the rate of firecracker victims is still high (it's always high every New Year).:( I just don't know when will it drop to the lowest rate. A lot of vehicular accidents and most cases were due to drunk drivers and some are not even wearing seatbelts. Hayyyy! So depressing and it's the reasons why we don't watch the news.

i'll watch a comedy in a little while, to get rid of the depression. Meanwhile, I'll check rv towing link first and see if a similar kind of business in Pinas will help lessen vehicular/road accidents.

Welcome 2010!

Happy New Year everyone! Time flies so fast and it's another year again. It feels like 2009 just started few months ago, but suddenly it's 2010!

Life has been great in 2009. I received a lot of blessings from the BIG BOSS above.:) And I hope and pray for more blessings this 2010 and hope to change a lot of things for self improvement.:) And for HIS greater glory.
