stomachache...

I had a stomachache about 30 minutes before our travel back here. I don't know why when all I ate was salad and hamburger for lunch. I went to the bathroom 2 times before finally leaving and I told my employers about it, so they were worried and asked me if I want a medicine and I said no coz if I'll take one, I might want to go to the bathroom and it's difficult since we will be in the car for about 1 hour and a half. Glad, and my stomach is ok now. Meanwhile, I'll surf all the links that I was not able to visit while in the winterhouse. I already visited about 3 links and now, it's premierstudentloans.com turn at premierstudentloans.com.

4 days in the winterhouse!

I stayed for 4 days (3 nights) in the winterhouse with my employers and the kids and we are back in the city now. I'm glad coz my internet connection there was crawling and i got difficulty logging-in to my email and surfing other websites. All I was able to access was YM. I was already worried that my laptop was the problem, but it was just the mountaneous location after all. Thanks heavens and my good, old lappy is still in good condition.:)

Noche buena....

We had our noche buena here in the house, but it was already around 12:30am when we started it coz we were busy taking pictures and witnessing the opening of the gifts of our baby boy here in the house. He had a lot of gifts from Santa, so it took time.:) But we all had fun. The food was great, thanks to the ates and kuyas who prepared all the food.:)

It´s only me and Ate R. here coz the 2 ates are still working. Ate W. will be home at 3pm and Ate B. will home on the 27th, she´s with her employers in the mountains for skiing. Hope she´s having a good time.

We are here waiting for the Christmas party of VISMIN at 7:30pm. I´ll do the dress rehearsal later. Meanwhile, I´ll check first the POS systems link at posguys.com.

Feliz Navidad!

Feliz Navidad a todos!:) I hope you all had a happy and wonderful noche buena with your family and friends. I had a nice one with my closest friends here in BCN who are already like a family to my. They´re actually my family here in BCN. I missed home so much, but all I could do is fill my mind with the happy memories. I´m going to call them with the calling card that I bought, but I´m still waiting for my turn coz one of the ates is still using the phone coz she´s also calling her family back home.

Happy holidays once again!

If I go home...

As I've mentioned here earlier, my papers here can't be processed at the moment, so I have to wait for the Arraigo wherein I have to stay 3 years in Spain to get the papers. And it means, that I still lack 2 more years to complete the 3 years. Arggggg. But if I can't bear to wait for 2 years more, going home is always an option. If I'll decide to go home, my family will be happy coz they wanted me to come home since then. It's just me who's scared if what might happen if I'll go home now, especially with the crisis. But If I go home, I think it wouldn't be hard for me to look for a job though. I can look for a job in the government since I am a civil service passer.:) I can also try to apply in call centers and ask some help from friends who are call center agents. But, I think my English is no longer as good as before, so maybe, I won't get a call center job after all, :).

But If I'll go home, I really need to get a job or a little business coz I don't wanna be a burden to my Mom or to anyone else. :)

babysitting as usual...

It's Friday night and it's babysitting time once again! But this time, it's only with the 2-year old boy. The 5-year old girl is with her granny. The male employer is attending their company's Christmas party and the female employer has dinner with her co-professors in the University.

It was such a busy day for all of us. I helped my female employer and her sister in decorating the cookies that they're making that are due on Monday. They're making 200 cookies and they have to decorate them all, like a pro. I mean, they're really pros. It's their business and they're doing really great when it comes to decorating cakes, cookies, etc. The job needs a lot of patience, but I like it. I am learning a lot of things and it was already my 2nd time of helping them. The first time was with a huge cake and cupcakes for a birthday party.

handcarry..

I instantly remember my handcarry bag as I saw the Rimowa luggages at luggagesource.com. My handcarry bag was borrowed by one of my ates when she went home tp PI for vacation. And since we don't see each other that much, she was not able to return it yet. And because I am not going to travel anywhere for a long period of time, so I am not so eager to get it back. Not yet. And I seldom remember it. I was just reminded about the bag when I saw ate last week and then now that I saw some luggages.

If only I have my visa now, for sure, I'll get the bag as soon as possible coz I'll surely use it in one of my travels. But since there's no chance for me to get the visa anytime soon, the bag can stay at ate's place as long as she wants.:)

a very short weekend...

My weekend was indeed very short, it was just less than a day.:( I went home at 11am on Sunday coz my employers asked me to babysit since they had a dinner on Saturday night.

And as always, my weekend was so busy and glad that all schedules were fitted into the very short weekend.:) I attended the Christmas party of all bolanons at around 2 to 5. And then, I had a meeting with the communication committee of Centro Filipino. And then, I attended the Mass at 8pm. And then went home and listened to the VisMin carolers who went to our boarding house and sang Christmas carols. Talked with my ates and finally went to bed at 1am.

And then, woke up at 7am and took the train at 7:43am for work. It was indeed a very short weekend, but it's ok with me coz it was spent happily. Thanks God!

bad news....

About 2 weeks ago, my employer kept on e-mailing the lawyer who handled the processing of my papers here coz she wants to know if there's a result already. She said that there should be some result since I already paid for the processing fee. And yesterday, she told me that the lawyer called already and it was a bad news. The lawyer said that it's impossible to process the papers right now since the offerta de trabajo in our place is close and it's possible to process my papers again in another places in Barcelona, but the problem is that my employers can't register again since they don't have a house located in the places where the processing is open. So, the other option is wait for the Araygo to have the papers fixed. And it means staying in BCN for 3 long years. Argggg!!I don't know if I can handle it. It means that I can't travel anywhere, let alone stay in a nice accomodation just like condos in destin fl. Hayyyy, life is really full of surprises!

sleepless holidays..

I was sleepless in my 3 days holidays and now, I am suffering from the effect.:( I am having tired eyes (even my employer observed) and a temper that flares over simple things.:( On Sunday night, I already slept at 4am coz I was making a trial website and then on Monday, I slept at 4am again coz I went out with my friends to pasa2x resto as a night out with Ate Weng, one of my SFL sisters from Denmark who was here for a visit.

And until now, my eyes are still aching and I am hoping that I can recover from the effects of my sleeplessness so soon.

cleansing water...

I was at Centro Filipino yesterday coz we held our GA there. And then one of the volunteers there said that they´re giving free water to all filipinos. And it´s not just an ordinary water. It´s a cleansing water that´s purified by a machine given by the Spanish government to every migrant communities here in BCN and they said that it can cleanse impurities in the bodies. Though I don´t clearly understand about the explanation, I brought a bottle of water with me. And for sure, there will be some good effect of the water to the body since the filtering or purifying machine is worth 25,000 euro. It wouldn´t be that expensive if it´s no good at all.:) So, I and my ates will be drinking the water and I am hoping that the effect of the water to me is like I´m taking fat burners, so I´ll have a "not-so-big" bilbil anymore.:)

happy fiesta!

Today and tomorrow, is the fiesta celebration of our village, in honor of our Patroness, Immaculate Concepcion. My mother sent me sms yesterday that they´re already very busy for the fiesta and I haven´t receive any message after that which means that they´re already very busy and don´t even have a spare time to look at their phones and send messages.

Yayyy, I just wish that I am home with them, so I can share the fun, help in the preparation and in entertaining the visitors. The best that I could do is to imagine that I am home with them and sneaking a bite of my favorite humbang baboy in between little breaks.hehehehe

fiesta..

Wahh the fiesta celebration in our village in honor of our Patroness, Immaculate Conception, will be this Dec. 8 already and I am sad that I can't be home once again coz I already missed our fiesta celebration a lot of times.

We will be having danish visitors during the fiesta coz a good friend of my brother who is danish is in PI for vacation with her daughter and the husband-to-be of her daughter, who is a filipino, and they'll be visiting my family during the fiesta. Exciting! But on the other hand, I am nervous too coz I am scared that they won't like our place and that they won't be happy with their visit coz our place will be in chaos due to the fiesta, there will be a lot of people.. And since we live in a little village, people there are so curious to take a look at foreigners since they seldom see one. Maybe it will be a first visit of a foreigner in our place, not sure though. But I am really hoping that they will have a good time there.

I already told Mama and bro to make sure that the house is very clean and that they should pay attention to the corners of the house, floor tiles, etc.

I am hoping and praying that the fiesta celebration in our village will be a huge success.

health card..

I am very happy coz atlast, I'm able to get a health card here in BCN. My employer "empadron" me in their place. It's like a registration to inform the government that I am here in BCN and that I am living with them and then after that, she went to the hospital to get me a health card, but unfortunately, they didn't give me one. And then one of my ates said that I hve to temporarily move my "empadronamento" to BCN so I can get a health card. And so I did last Wednesday and when we went to the office to get a health card, the woman who entertained us asked if I have a job and ate said no, I don't have and so a health card was issued. Coz if she said yes, they wouldn't give me one coz their reason is that if you have a job then you can afford to go to a private doctor. arggggggggg. No wonder I was not given a health card in my employer's place coz she told the officer there that I am working for her, heheheh.

a new laptop...

I have 3 roommates and call them all "ate", which we use in PI as a sign of respect to women older than our age. 3 of us have laptops and ate R. has none, so she's planning to buy a new one this January, during the sale period. She already started looking for a possible purchase and we are helping her too. And one of the laptops she's eyeing for is Sony VAIO and 2 of our friends from SFL have the same brand. So maybe, she's also going to buy the same. Let's see this January.:)
