acid cigars...

I just found a link about acid cigars while surfing and it reminds me of tobacco leaves:). When I was still in my elementary years, I used to tend our little store in our village and we were also selling tobacco leaves. The old people in our village use it in smoking and everytime I'll take one for a costumer, I'll always smell it for long coz I really love the smell. And I told myself, that if I'm gonna smoke one day, it will be tobacco leaves, instead of the common cigarrette stick. And then the Acid cigars I saw earlier reminds me once again of my desire to smoke tobacco leaves one day. Ohhh, the smell is getting into my nose now.:) But maybe, I can also give acid cigars a try since they come in different flavors. It will be an exciting smoking experience.:)

a tall pile of clothes to iron...

wahhh, there's a tall pile of clothes to iron here in my room.:( And it's making me tired for tomorrow coz I'm seeing it all the time and I can already imagine the long hours of ironing tomorrow. But I shouldn't allow it to ruin my day. I'll stay positive despite the huge work ahead.:)

on going home....

I called Mama at around 6pm PI time today just to check on some things. And thanks God coz my family back home is doing well. I terribly miss my family already and I want to go home so soon. I've been working away from them for so long now. My mama told me that a girl way younger than me is going to teach in the school located in our place next week. She said that if I only took education, then I could have been teaching in our place already. And I told her that if ever I am going home, I want to have fieldwork, something that will bring me to places instead of a four-wall setting everyday. And she said that I can continue studying masters and then Ph.D. so I can have a higher position, a position that requires frequent travelling. Hmmm, sounds interesting. And since I'm still staying here for maybe atleast 2 years, so maybe it would be nice if I'll try taking an Online master degree, so save time. Gonzaga University seems to be a good choice since they offer several of their masters degrees online and it is also ranked number 3 in the West by US News and World Report. It is also ranked one of the nations best universities by the Princeton Review and Forbes Magazine. Definitely, a university with a good reputation.

the kids are well now....

Yeheyyy, I am so glad coz the kids are well now and they went to school already. They were already in their school uniforms when I came this morning and it made me smile secretly, heheheh. It means that I can clean the house thoroughly now. The girl is not completely ok yet though. She's still limping a little bit when walking and the mother said that 2 more days of taking her medicine. I hope she will be completely well so soon.

Vitamin C

After my female employer told me that my male employer has a flu, she went to the grocery to buy some things and asked me if I need something. I told her immediately to buy Vitamin C for me. Yes, I was really in panic after hearing the news that I felt like I already had the flu, hehehe. But unfortunately, the employer forgot to buy me the Vit. The following day, I went to the clinic with her and the kids for the girl's check up and we dropped by the pharmacy to buy some medicine for the girl, so I reminded my employer again about the Vitamin C and she bought a box for me. Thanks God. I started taking the Vit. yesterday (once a day) and the Vit is pretty strong coz it's 1000 mg and the effect is: me being hungry all the time.:( Meanwhile, I'm going to take a look at the industrial supplies link I found before going to bed.

He goes to work.....

Thanks God, I am relieved coz my male employer is feeling better already. So, it's just the ordinary flue and not the scary A flu. And today, he goes back to work and he looks ok already. Though my female employer is against the idea of him working already, but the male employer insisted on going back to work coz he has been away for 2 days now and there's just a lot of work left behind.

Hope that he'll be totally healed from the flu next week.

The male employer is also sick...

Ohh my, my male employer is also sick! Almost everyone in the house is sick now. The male employer came home yesterday sick, but before he arrived, the female employer already told me that her husband is sick of flu, and she said that it might be the pandemic one. And after hearing her, I was already in panic coz as what I've heard from the news, that kind of flu is pretty dangerous and the person who has it should be isolated, but she said that the doctor advised her hubby to stay in the house for 7 days. I was already scared of getting the flu too:(.

And when the male employer arrived, he told me further about the flu. The doctor said that all the syptoms are just that of a normal flu, but if he'll have difficulty in breathing, he should go immediately to the hospital. I was relieved. And after my work, I googled flu to learn more and was relieved after reading the info and keeps on praying that the male employer won't have breathing difficulties.

I asked my female employer to buy some vitamin C for me, but seems that she forgot. I just hope that there's a pharmacy in the vicinity, so I can walk and buy some for me, but there's none, so I have to wait until the weekend. I am very careful now to wash my hands every now and then and to avoid getting close to the male employer as possible. Anyways, i'm also googling ways to prevent flu and some medications. And while doing it, I came across a pet supplements site, instead of a supplement site for humans.:)

He's better...

We are so happy coz the boy is getting better. Yesterday, the boy was making "kaka" a lot and just don't want to eat. All he had was water and the milk. For lunch, I forced him to eat but he was crying and ended up vomitting the little food I forced him to eat. And in the afternoon, I gave him fruit and when he was almost done, he vomitted it all. We were already worried. And then at around 5:45pm, the boy went towards the kitchen while saying "comer" (eat), and so I asked if he wants to eat and he said yes. So, I gave him the food from lunch and he ate it without hesitation. I told the mother about it and she was so happy. And since that time, the boy felt better. He has gained back his appetite and no more "kaka" every now and then.

The girl is sick too...

Yesterday, the girl is supposed to go swimming (every Tuesday), but she end up skipping class coz she woke up limping coz her thigh was aching. The mother brought her to the doctor and the finding: the girl has some virus and the blood circulation in her thigh is affected and she's advised to stay in the house for 3 days. So, all the kids are in the house since yesterday. Good thing and the boy is ok now and the mother said that it's ok for the boy to go to school tomorrow.

vomitted..

At around 10:30 pm, I heard the boy cough so hard and then after few minutes, he ws already crying. So I came to his room to put the pacifier back to his mouth. And when I came in, he said "lille lille ta" which means he wants me to sing "twinkle, twinkle little star". I took the pacifier first and about to sing when I felt that the pacifier was wet and I saw a dark circle under his pillow. So, I switched on the lights and saw that the dark circle was a vomitus, so I called the parents who were downstairs watching tv. I took the sheets and brought it to the laundry room, while the parents took care of the kid. He's already sleeping now and I just hope that he'll have a goodnight sleep and that he won't wake up in the middle of the night, just like the previous nights.

On another note, I'm still on my dieting mode here to shed off the gained weight. And glad and I was able to control my food cravings today and I just hope it will last for long just like I'm taking some appetite suppressant.

the boy has diarrhea..

Ohh my the boy I'm taking care of is still having diarrhea until now and he has been suffering from it since Friday. He was home the whole day with me and just kept on crying coz he's always doing "kaka" and everytime he does it, he screams telling me "mal aqui" while pointing on his butt. And it means that his butt is already hurting which is very obvious coz his butt is already very red. I can really understand the boy coz I already experienced it, when my butt already hurts from defacating all the time, but I just can't control it to stop the excretion. And I'm really sad seeing the boy cry all the time. If I can only take his pain and make it mine, I'll really do it. But I can't, so all I can do is pray that he'll be okay tomorrow or the following day.

weight issue again!

Hayyy, here I am again with my weight issue. :( One of the ates told me that I looked like I gained weight and I agree with her coz when I looked at the mirror last weekend, I am larger compared to the weeks before. :( So, I am dieting this week and I just hope that it will help coz I am really depressed. So you know a safe quick weight loss program? Tell me and I might try it out of desperation.:(

We are so glad coz the sleeping problem of the boy I am taking care of is getting better now. The mother has bought a new bed for him since he's still sleeping in a crib. And lastnight was the first night if the new bed. It was difficult to put him to bed coz he kept on getting out of it. But once he was asleep, he only wake up once to ask for water and woke up at 7:40am which was way better than 6am. Yeheey, hope he'll continue to be like this to give the adults a goodnight sleep.:)

a long weekend...

We (me and my friends) were so happy for the long weekend that we had. Monday was a holiday here in honor of Virgen del Pilar, so we had our off from Saturday afternoon until Monday. yeheyyy! It was a good weekend, but a busy one too. I was occupied the entire weekend, eheheh. Saturday was spent sleeping and attending briefing for the CLS and practicing praising songs too. Sunday was spent attending a baptism, I was one of the godmothers. But too bad and I was not able to go to the reception coz we also had our 3rd session of our CLS and I am the facilitator for the single women participants, so I had to stay and we had a 1 on 1 after and it was finished at 7pm. And then an hour after, we were getting ready to go to the disco with our brothers and sisters from the community. We had so much fun. And Monday was spent sleeping a lot and then attending a birthday party in the evening. A busy sched indeed, heheheh. And of course, there was a drama inbetween.:(

Anyways, dearest Mama will be celebrationg her 49th birthday this October 31 and bro and me are already thinking possible gifts for her. Let's see what can we decide:)

he's awake....

Ohh my, I just posted my post maybe 5 minutes ago hoping that the boy will not wake up in the middle of the night and suddenly the door of his room clicked, so I went outside to look and there he is outside his room walking towards the stairs to his parents' room saying: agua, agua (spanish for water),grrrrrrrrrr. Good thing and the mother came down as I went to the bathroom to get water. And now, the mother is still the boy's room, putting the kid back to sleep. Hope he'll fall asleep so soon. I'm off to bed now. Have a goodnight sleep everyone!

the sleeping powder is not working...

The boy I am taking care of is having a sleeping problem lately. It's already difficult to put him to bed:(. Before, after eating, the parents will bring him to his room, put to bed and then he will fall asleep on his own, but these days, one of the parents has to stay in the room and rub his butt for almost an hour before he falls asleep. grrrrrrrr. And then the most irritating part: he wakes up in the middle of the night (around 1 to 3am) almost everynight and so we will take turn in waking up, but usually the parents end up putting him to bed again, coz he just won't go back to sleep if it's me tending him.grrrrrrrrrrr. And another bad thing: he wakes up very early at around 7am or 7:30am, before my waking time. grrrrrrrrrrrr

Obviously, the herbal sleeping powder that the parents bought is not working. We've been mixing the powder into his milk bottle, but there's no effect. Well. the father says that it will take time before the powder will take effect since it's herbal, so we just have to give it to the kid continuously. Hope, it will work so soon.

Last night, he woke up 2 times and the father came to the rescue since I was not able to put him back to sleep, huhuhu. Hope he'll sleep straight tonight.

the usb works!

Yeheyyy, I am so glad coz my usb net connection is already working on my big lappy. I was online lastnight, asking help from a friend to make the usb connection work on my lappy. He was giving me instructions, but I just can't make it right. I was clicking the taskbar to go to the "my computer" section when I saw the vodafone logo, so I clicked it and there was an istruction to install the software, so I clicked it and then after more clicks, it started to work. Yesss, thanks God and I will not be isolated from the blogging world for another week:) For sure, the instruction was just there from the very beginning, but then I was just too lazy to explore..arggggggggg, shame on me:(.

almost late!!

Ohh my, what a disaster, I was almost late for work this morning:( I slept at around 2am and put the alarm on my mobile. At around 6:40am, I woke up and saw 2 of my ates already preparing to go since they go earlier than me and ate R. ,so I told myself, ok I still have 20 minutes more to sleep since I always wake up at 7am on Mondays and leave the house at 7:30am to catch the 7:42am train. And then, I went back to sleep and the next time I woke up, it was already 7:28am, but I didn't hear my alarm ringing. And then it dawned to me that I was not able to change the alarm time to 7am, instead it was still 7:40am, the wake up call for me at my employer's place.grrrrrrrrr.I was already in a panic, went to the toilet to brush my teeth and wash my face and then changed clothes and put my laptop into the bag and rushed to the station. Ate R. told me that I'm not going to make it to the 7:42am train, but then I was really hoping and praying that I can make it coz I don't want to be late. It was already 7:35am when I was outside the boarding house, so I ran as fast as I could towards the station, and then half of my mind was telling me to stop and just take it easy since I can't catch the train anymore, but half of my mind was also telling me to just go on and glad that that side of the mind won, so I kept on running without looking at my mobile and kept on praying that I can really catch the train..and then finally I was already in the gate clipping my ticket and I glanced at the clock and it was still 7:38am and I was inside the train at 7:49am, 3 minutes before the departure. I was panting inside the train, but relieved and happy. Thanks to God, prayer always works:).

Double Bind

Double Bind by Chris Bohjalian was my first read for the week. I borrowed it from one of my Titas in the community here and a friend also recommended it to me since he has read and borrowed it before. It was indeed a very good novel that left me thinking and analysing in the end. After reading the last page, it made me turn the pages back just to verify. It was so full of twist. If you want to know more about the novel, just google it coz I'm really a bad story teller, so I won't try to narrate it to you:)

Anyways, if you looking for tile flooring designs for your houses, visit buytile.com coz they have a lot of choices and discounts too.

I survived!

Yeheyyy, I survived a week of isolation from the blogosphere:) Though it was boring at times, but It was also nice coz I was able to read 2 novels that really touched my heart. It was indeed a good read and glad coz I was able to go back to my first love (reading) which I abandoned for a long time now due to my internet connection.
