disconnected....

Huhuhu, my hp netbook broke down last Thursday while I was surfing the net. The screen went black and I was not able to switch it on again. The screen was still black no matter how many times I tried to switch it on,huhuhu. I brought it back to the company where I bought it last Saturday and they're going to fix the problem or change it to a new one, but the process will take atleast a month,wahhhhhhhh. And then the usb connection that I have is not compatible with my big laptop, atleast that's what I thought coz I just can't make it work. So, it means that I'll be "disconnected" during the weekdays and can only be connected on weekends, huhuhuh, how sad! I already packed my bag for work tomorrow and I already stuffed my bag with novels, a dictionary and other reading materials. If I only have textbooks here, then I'll bring it too to make sure that I'll have something to entertain me during my free time.

Just hope that the netbook will be fixed before 1 month. Please!

The boy is not yet asleep

Ohhh my, it´s already 12 midnight here and the boy is not yet asleep:(. He was already sleeping at 9pm, but then he woke up at 11pm and until now, he´s still awake. The parents are outside guarding the door coz the boy keeps on getting out of his crib and going out his room. Hmm, he´s so strange..I hope he falls asleep so soon!

pimples...

Ohhh my, the pimples in my forehead are multiplying,huhuhu. I had them almost 1 month ago. The old ones are gone but new ones are sprouting, grrrrrrrrrr. When are they going away? when there´s no more room for them in my forehead? Ohhh please, I hope that they´ll be gone so soon. And I have several pimples in my cheeks too and they´re so obvious. According to my readings, I need to sleep more and reduce stress since they help cure pimples. So, I should not think and worry a lot these days and I should go to bed so soon:).

Anyways, I just visited standsandmounts.com and viewed all the available tv mounts there. Trying to get ideas for a perfect mount for a flat-tv. Who knows, bro can afford t buy one soon, so I can make a suggestion for the design of the tv-mount.

the boy´s 2nd birthday..

Today, the boy I am taking care of turns 2 and too bad coz I just remembered it few hours after the boy left for school. No wonder, the boy don´t wanna come to me when I arrived coz of the obvious reason: he hates me for forgetting his bday, huhuhu what a bad nanny I am:(.

And when the boy came back from school, I was outside and when he saw me, he dropped his bag and lie flat on the pavement and cried. Wahhh, he still hates me. And the attitude continued until the evening even if I already sang happy birthday to him in english, then in my own version of Catalan,hehehe. He only started to be in good mood with me when I started to play "playhouse disney", his favorite cartoons channel.

unlucky get together with friends...

After the 6pm Mass yesterday, we practiced some songs for the upcoming CLS this Sunday. And after the practice, one of the guys said, ok let´s go to "pasa2x", the filipino resto with a karaoke. Ate R, Ate B and me were discussing if we will come since it´s already 8pm and we still have to work the following day. But since the guys who were insistent were those who just got jobs and they seldom have day offs these days, so we decided to come. Few meters from the church, it already started to rain, but we still continue walking, and then we arrived at "pasa2x" but the place was reserved for a party, so we are not allowed to go inside, ohh ohhh. And then we decided to go to another bar, and the rain was already pouring hard, we found a shelter and stayed there for about 10 minutes and decided to keep going to the other filipino resto nearby..Ohhh, we were really very stupid for deciding to go even with the rain. But we had a lot of fun, we keep on laughing and we didn´t forget to take photos too,hehehe. And then we finally arrived at the resto, but we were already wet..our footwears were all soaked:(. But the fun still continues, heheh. And then as unlucky as we were, the lights went out, the entire street was experiencing black-out, so we made fun oiut of it once again. We ordered lomi, sisig, lechon kawali and beer, a lto of beer for the guys. We ladies had Damm Lemon and we all loved it.

We finally went home around 11pm and arrived in the boarding house at 11:30pm. One of our roommates, didn´t come with us and we were sorry coz she ate late coz she was waiting for us to arrive:(. And we told her that next time, she should not wait for us anymore coz it´s not good for her ulcer. She´s taking vitamins to get bigger, while I am busy researching for the best diet pills outthere. She was already in bed when we came and woke up with our noise, arggg we were such a headache lastnight,huhuhu.

The 2 ates left earlier this morning and it was me and Ate R. who woke up at the same time and went to the station together. And as we woke up, we had something in common, we were both hungry and our stomach were aching already. It must be the effect of the acid from Damm Lemon. Grrrrr!

I continued cleaning the windows in the morning for my room, the kids and the playroom. And cleaned the 2 windows in the master´s bedroom coz they were dirty from the rain lastnight. The windows don´t have outside blinds to protect them from the rain. It was another relax day for me since I don´t have to hurry anymore since the kids are at school.:)

alone with the boy...

It´s Friday night and it´s babysitting night for me as usual. :) But I´m only with the boy here in the house coz the girl is staying with her maternal grandmother and the couple left for Girona around 7pm to celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary and they´ll be staying there for the weekend. The paternal grandmother will pick up the boy tomorrow before 1pm. Yeheyyy, it´s weekend once again!

Raining....

Grrrrr, it´s raining here now and I just cleaned the windows,huhuhu. I just hope that they don´t get dirty tomorrow from the rain. The protective shields are down for the night though, so I hope that they´ll remain clean.

Anyways, I am daydreaming in here,hehehe. I am visiting mynewplace.com and looking at Los Angeles apartments available, as if I am going to rent one, hehehe. All the apartments are really cool, I can get some ideas from them if I´m going to build my own house in the future,:)

Window cleaning....

I cleaned the glass windows this afternoon, but I´ll continue cleaning the windows of my room, the kids room and the play room tomorrow since I didn´t have time anymore coz I also arranged the wardrobe of my employers. I put the summer clothes away and the winter clothes in place coz it´s already getting cold here.

they have lice too...

Ohh my, my employers have lice too:(. My female employer asked me to look at her hair this morning, so I did and I found several eggs and a louse. She was so upset and she called her hubby immediately and reported. And this evening, my male employer asked me to look at his hair too. We thought that he don´t have it since he has short hair, but ohh ohh, I found several live eggs in his hair too. And he´s really upset.

I looked at the kids´hairs too this evening and we´re glad coz we didn´t find lice anymore, though the girl had some eggs, but glad coz it´s already manageable now.

a sad, good novel....

Finally, I´m done reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini, the novel I mentioned in my earlier post. No wonder the employer of one of my friends was crying while reading the novel. The story tore my heart to pieces too, but good thing and I was able to hold on to my emotion. It a very said story about Afghans, but a good one too since it´s very inspiring and full of hope. I truly admire Mariam and Laila´s friendship in the story. And now, I that I´m done reading the novel, I want to read "The Kite Runner", Hosseini´s debut novel coz I read the reviews of the novel and all is saying good things about it. I´ll check in the bookstore nearby my place in bcn if they have it this weekend.

Getting lazy!!

Yes, laziness is attacking me once again:(. I want to blog more today and yesterday, but my mind is not cooperating:(. And this afternoon, I continued reading the novel I started reading 2 weeks ago, A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hossein and it made me alert all afternoon and until now, I am not sleepy yet and all I want is to continue reading. I just love the sad story of the book. I felt sad for the characters and I want a happy ending for them.

Anyways, I have to force myself to sleep so soon though since I still have to wake up early tomorrow for work. But before dozing off, I will first read some info about cancer treatment & prescriptions at mesotheliomahelp.net, a linked that popped up on my screen and it looks informative and educational, so I´ll give it a try.

A year in Spain....

Time flies so fast ans suddenly, I am already 1 year here in Barcelona in this very day, September 15. It seems like I just came here few months ago, armed with my full trust to the Lord. As of today, I am still armed with the same weapon and I´ll always be:). Thanks God for making me a survivor in this foreign Land and thanks for giving me family and friend here who are always there for me.

more lice....

I thought the lice were already gone since the kids underwent treatment lastnight, but to my surprise, I found a lot of eggs and lice in their heads. This morning, I tried to see the boy´s hair while he´s eating and wahhh I found a lot of eggs all over. So, I pulled them out and I didn´t stop until I got most of them, even if the kid was already crying. As if I didn´t hear him cry, I just keep on pulling the eggs. And later, while playing with the kids in the garage, I managed to convince the girl that I´m going to look at her hair and ohh my, I found a lot of eggs and 7 huge lice, argggg! And when I told the mother about it, she got panicky once again. We will look the kids´hair once ahain this afternoon and I hope that we can get most of the lice and eggs so that they can go to school tomorrow.

Aynways, the ates and me were talking last weekend about getting a dental cleaning since it has been a long time since we visited the dentist. We will be asking our friends so we can get a referral from them since we don´t know where to go. lice, lice go away...

Argggg, the kids are home today coz they´ve got lice, plenty of them. The mother discovered it lastnight. She was giving the boy his dinner when she shouted "piyos"! It´s the catalan term for lice I guess, but I don´t know the right spelling, so I´ll just spell it the visayan way,hehehe. I was alarmed coz as if there was some emergency or something after hearing the shout, but it was just that the female employer saw a louse crawling in the kid´s head. Immediately, she rang her husband to buy some medication in the pharmacy and when the husband came, he was also in a hurry for his wife to look at his head to see if he was lice too. They were really in panic and my female employer was itching.

And so, the kids are home since they are not allowed to go to school within 24 hours of medication. I just hope they can already go tomorrow.:)

the long weekend that was...

I enjoyed the long weekend that I had with my ates and my friends. I was already off from work on Friday afternoon until Sunday. Friday night, I went to a videoke bar with Ate R. and some of our friends who are also from Bohol. Saturday, I went to the beach with my 3 ates and roommates. It was "roommates bonding" time and we had so much fun coz the water was very nice and refreshing and we were the only filipinos in the beach so we didn´t care about our "bilbil" showing as we revealed our 2 piece swimwear,hehehe. Saturday morning was spent visiting our recruits for the coming CFC-FFL CLS this coming Sept.27. And the afternoon was spent attending the VisMin meeting and then 6pm Mass. We also listened to a speaker who talked about the laws for migrants in Barcelona.

All in all, I enjoyed the long weekend, except for the stomachache that I had after the Mass. I felt ill and kept on burping inside the church until the following morning:(.

in the summer house again....

I am here in the summer house of my employers, once again:). We came here just this evening since it´s a holiday tomorrow for entire Barcelona. I am off tomorrow too, but I have to work until 1pm, so I don´t have to work on Saturday anymore. Yeheyy, a long weekend for me. I am already excited coz it means that our plan for tomorrow night will push through since all of us are off tomorrow. Me and my friends are planning to go to videoke bar that one of my friends discovered just last weekend. I´ll keep you posted about it,hehehe.

school boy...

The boy I am taking care is already going to school since Monday and he´s so cute with his uniform:). We are all happy for him and he´s so funny coz he´s so excited to go to school. On Tuesday, he woke up at 7:30am (he wakes up everyday) and he was already out of bed carrying his bag and saying "cole, cole - short for colegio, the spanish term for school), and it made me smile. Today, he was not that excited coz the he keeps on saying "no" when I put on his uniform. But during breakfast, he eats so fast and didn´t finish all the food and keeps on saying "cole, cole",hehehe.

He went home very tired today and just keep on crying. He goes out of bed more than 3 times before finally sleeping. Poor kid, he´s still adjusting with his new sched (he´s in school from 9am to 5pm on weekdays). Hope he´ll get used to it soon.

Meanwhile, I am already starting to check and prepare the clothes (jackets, pants,tuxedo,coats,etc.) of my employers for the winter since summer is almost over. It´s goodbye to the very hot weather so soon.:)

Friday´s babysitting...

It´s Friday´s babysitting once again:). The parents went out, so I am left with the kids. I gave them a bath and supper and thanks God and they´re asleep now. I was having a hard time giving the girl a bath. She´s not cooperating at all, don´t want to take off her clothes and keeps on running and I keep on chasing her. And what made me real irritated was her throwing water unto the floor, grrrrrrr! She watched TV after eating and then during bedtime she wants me to read a story for her. And I said no I can´t but she insisted, so I end up reading a story in Catalan. I am so sure I didn´t pronounce the words correctly, but she kept on saying she understands,heheh. And then she said that she will explain the story to me instead of me reading it..so I was smiling all the time coz she´s so funny and I don´t understand what she´s talking,hehehe. Even if she´s irritating at times, but she´s sweet too:).

blackheads go away and never come back....

During my vacation, I noticed the blackheads on my nose once again since I look at myself in the mirror most of the time, hehehe. I already noticed them before and just ignored them. But now, they´re growing in number, so I better make an action about it before they completely invade my nose, hehehe. a concert...

Wahhh, the little boy had another "concert" (term used by the parents when he cries in the middle of the night) lastnight. I woke up first, but the parents woke up too since I was not able to put the kid back to sleep. He was really hurting real bad coz he cries so hard. It was the very first time that I heard the boy cry very hard and very loud. And in the morning the mother explains to me about what happens. The father tried to touch the skin of the boy´s penis as to loosen it a bit and they found out that it was the boy´s penis that hurts coz he keeps on pointing at his penis when asked where´s the pain. So the mother brought the kid to the doctor this morning and the doc found out that the skin of the penis is having an inflammation and they have to keep going back to the doctor until Monday. grrrrrrrr. And the mother said that on Monday, the doc will give some anesthesia to the kid coz something will be done to his penis. It´s like getting some of the skin or something, but not circumcision though since they don´t practice it here. Poor boy! Hope he gets well very soon!

1st week of vacation...

The 1st week of my vacation was spent sleeping, watching movies, reading a bit and shopping:). I felt pain in my butt almost everyday coz I spent a lot of time sitting in the sofa,hehehe. I was all alone in my boarding house and I was bored to death, so I decided to go shopping,hehehe. I went shopping and window shopping almost everyday, trying to enjoy the few last days of the "sales month". And true enough, I ended up "drained". As in drained with energy and drained financially, ahehehe. Anyways, I did a lot of stuffs for myself and few stuffs for my family back home, hehehe. I started buying things as "pasalubong", so I´ll be ready if ever I´ll receive the result of my papers within this year. I am really hoping:). I had a "best buy" coz of the "sale" going on and got most of the items I bought at 70% off and some items more than 70% off. Yeheyyy!!

Painted bodies!

I still had a lot of work today. I ironed a lot of clothes, just like yesterday and there are still clothes left for ironing tomorrow, but it´s less now. I was ironing in the afternoon after my nap time and then I checked the kids in the TV room and wahhh, they already have painted bodies and more paintings on their faces! Argggg!! It was the female kid who took her painting set from the shelf and painted her body and her bro´s too and telling me that she did it coz they´re tigers,argggg!!!The Mom saw it and got mad and asked if I saw the kids´faces. I was really scared that she´ll also get mad at me. Thanks God and she didn´t, but she put the girl immediately to the bath tub and scrathed the paintings, it wasn´t removed totally, but it was lessen. I should be more careful with the kids next time.:)

back to tea-drinking.....

My tea-drinking was stopped when we went to the summer house. I felt so lazy to come down to the kitchen to make prepare tea since I stayed in the 3rd floor, so I have to go up and down the stairs everytime I make tea. And during my vacation, no tea-drinking too. I was just so busy that I didn´t remember that I love to drink tea, hehehehe. Kidding! My tea-drinking is supposed to start yesterday, but our microwave oven is broken and it was just fixed this afternoon. Yeheyy, I finally started my tea-drinking again after my supper.

Anyways, my Ate V. told me that I´m lossing weight. I´m happy to hear the comment, but I didn´t feel that I am losing weight though:). Ate V. just came from her 2 months work in Menorca and she gained some weight. So, she´s planning to lose the extra weight in few weeks time, not with the aid of the best weight loss pills in the market though. She´ll do it naturally.:)

Vacation is over!

My 2 weeks vacation is finally over and it´s back to work since yesterday! I am super busy in the house right now since there´s a lot of things to do. But I am not complaining coz I had a great vacation:) As in, very great:)! So, I´ll just keep on doing the chores until all is done. The kids will start schooling very soon and it means less work for me, hehehe.
