so warm in here!

The nice keeps on getting better here and I'm so happy about it. But the downside is that it's also getting warmer here in my apartment and I can't get any fresh air while sleeping coz I can't open a window. My apartment has 2 glass windows, but they're fixed and can't be opened,huhuh. There are 2 doors too, but I just wouldn't take the risk of sleeping while one of the doors is open.

How I wish my employer has steam cleaners that I can borrow to freshen up the air here, just like the one I saw in the net. But I'm not sure though if it will make the air cooler.

Tea drinking continues!

I'm so glad coz I'm able to maintain my goal of drinking 4-5 cups of tea a day and it seems to really work in shedding of some pounds. On Monday, I weighed myself and it's 54 kg. and I really expected it coz I've been pigging out in the weekend. And it triggered to drink tea religiously and now the current weight is 52.5 kg. Even if it's only a little difference, but I'm so happy and I just hope it will keep on decreasing until it reaches 50 kg,:)

I'm so motivated to lose weight these days. The self-discipline is slowly sinking in,:)

More cups of tea!

Since yesterday, I decided to drink a lot of tea everyday to help in losing some pounds or just to cleanse my digestive system from all the fatty foods that I ate last weekend. And so far, so good. I'm feeling good about it and I'm also trying to drink tea in the morning instead of eating bread. And I also conditioned my mind not to eat a lot and everytime I think of food, I always switched my focus to my goal of getting slim and it's working so far,:)

I am now consuming 4-5 cups of tea everyday.

Bloated from the weekend!

Ohh my, I did it again! I pigged-out once again last weekend and it was with grilled foods (pork, chicken, hotdog),grrrrrrrrrrrr. And now, I'm drinking a cup of tea, my 4th cup for the day,:) I am really trying my best to get rid of what I ate for the weekend. I only had a cup of tea for breakfast and 2 pieces of carrots for lunch. And ate chicken with vegetables and a little bit of rice. And it seemed to work coz I've been to the toilet many times too,:)

I really need self-discipline so badly. Been trying a lot of times to implement it, but I always fail. But I have to keep on trying until I succeed with it,:)

Jumping rope!

I'm so glad coz I did a lot of movement yesterday,:) I made a lot of walking and I was also jumping rope in the evening and it made me sweat, yohooo!!It really feels great to be sweating and it makes me lighter. I haven't done it for 2 weeks, so I'm happy that I made it once again yesterday. I'll try also to do jumping rope today.

I want to have it!

Hi everyone, good morning! I'm up at 4am today, so I'm blogging early,:) Anyways, I just want to share to you my want,:) I found a passport jacket in the store last weekend and I really want to have it,:) I really feel that it's for me and it would be a perfect jacket for my passport. The jacket comes in different color, but I'm eying for the yellow one and there's a phrase written in front that says " I love to travel".

I'm going back to the store this weekend and really buy it before the store runs out of stock. I'll keep you posted about it,:)

Roasted chicken salad with garlic toasts

Here's a healthy recipe from Yahoo Food good for people who are very sensitive to fats and other harmful ingredients.


Roasted chicken salad with garlic toasts
Ingredients:
  1. 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  2. 3 tablespoons cider vinegar or white wine vinegar
  3. 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  4. 1/4 cup kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
  5. 8 cups mixed salad greens
  6. 4 slices whole-wheat country bread, toasted
  7. 1 (2 pound) roasted chicken (hot or cold), skin discarded, sliced into large pieces (see Ingredient Note)

Cooking Directions:

  1. Mince one garlic clove and whisk with vinegar, oil and olives in a medium bowl. Toss greens in the dressing to coat well.
  2. Rub each bread slice with the remaining garlic clove. (Discard garlic.) Divide the salad among 4 plates, place chicken on top and serve with the bread.

Yield: 4 servings

Missing Denmark!

I'm indeed missing Denmark, especially my host family. I'm planning to visit them this June or July, but it not yet fixed though. I instantly remember my host family in DK upon seeing the bar faucets at Faucet.com coz I had a funny experience there with the faucet,:)

I just arrived in their place few month ago and I was still so shy back then,:) It was Sunday and I came home from the weekend and then I tried to clean the sink before finally going to bed and suddenly the faucet was broken (the bar was cut) as I wiped it dry. I was really so scared coz my host family was not home yet and the water keeps on flowing. And when they came home, they saw the broken faucet and so I explained what happened. They were not able to hide the smile in their faces coz they find it funny and they thought that I was really strong,:) And their daughter suddenly shouted that we should call her grandfather to fix the faucet coz every time something is broken in their place (be it a bulb or a chair), they always call their grandfather to fix it,:)

That was really a funny experience and I was ashamed of it. Imagine, I broke a faucet, grrrrrrrrrrr.

Back to exercising!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad that I'm able to blog here today coz it's been a while since my last entry here. I really missed blogging coz I spent my weekend at Ate Eve's place and too bad coz her laptop was out of function already. So we were disconnected to the blogosphere and the net for 3 days,:(

But anyways, I'm so happy today coz I'm back to exercising,:) Though it's not much, but at least I'm already moving and kicking,:) For the past 2 weeks, I didn't have any exercise coz I got my period on the 1st week and I was not comfy exercising and on the 2nd week, I went home from a very tiring weekend with a sored muscles and even ordinary movement was painful. Finally, I'm back to track now and hope it will continue. I walked the eldest child to school this morning and I also picked her up this afternoon. So I made a lot of walking today and I also drank a lot of tea.:) Yohoo, I'm feeling good and healthy,:)

Back to reading!

Reading is really my ultimate hobby and I was already into it since my childhood. But after discovering blogging, I was reading less and less,:( But I'm trying to get back to reading now and I just started reading "The Clinic" by Jonathan Kellerman and it's getting me hooked coz the story is just so good and very entertaining. I bought a lot of novels last summer and I bought 2 more a month ago, so I really have to read more to be able to read all the books. I'm planning to put all the novels I bought in the balikbayan box that I'm gonna send home this coming October and I want to read all of them before sending them home.

I'll really try my best to devote a time to read everyday despite the busy schedule, both in my au pair job and in blogging,:)

A busy Tuesday and a relaxed Wednesday!

I was not able to blog yesterday coz I was so busy. I did a lot of cleaning in my employer's place and I also took care of the youngest child coz her kindergarten was closed. And I also picked up the eldest child from school and made dinner. I was just really busy yesterday. And today, I'm so relaxed coz my employer told me that I don't have to make dinner coz they're going to attend the dance recital of the kids and their going to dine out. Hmmm, I'm indeed lucky today and I was done cleaning at around 2pm.

Yep, been here in my apartment for a long time now, but I only blogged at this moment coz I was so busy watching America's Next Top Model Cycle 5,:)

iNet was down for almost 3 days!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well there. I just arrived from my long weekend (today is a holiday here coz of Pinsedag or The Resurrection) and I'm really guilty coz it's been a long time that I haven't blog here,:( My iNet connection was down for almost 3 days and I only had it back last Friday morning. I experienced the same problem before : the wireless signal was in good status, but I just can't access any sites.:( It was really difficult for me being disconnected from the blogging world. I was really planning to blog on Friday, but got no chance coz right after my "kuskos", I prepared my things for my long weekend.

Before I went to Ate Eve's for the weekend last Friday, I made a short surfing and I stumbled into a site that features the newest diet pills in the market today. hungry!

Yep,that's how I feel about 30 minutes ago. My stomach was really aching and I think it' because I ate a very little portion of rice during dinner. I cooked enough rice for all of us, but the eldest child came home from school with a friend and they ate immediately after arriving. And they both ate 2 servings of rice, they must be hungry. So the rice left was very little for the 4 of us who haven't eaten yet. So I just took a very small portion.:( Good thing and I still have 2 packs of noodles left here in my apartment. If not, then I could have been sleeping with an aching stomach.

Inflatable gallon

During our SFC fellowship last Saturday at the beach, we all noticed the inflatable gallon of our SFC coordinator. They took it wih them and filled it with water for us. And it's really cool coz it only expands when filled with water. It's not space consuming at all. Our fellowship was really a lot of fun and our SFC coordinators (we call them Nanays and Tatays) were really very happy coz a lot of the SFC members attended.

We played games such as catterpillar game, cheer competition, badminton, etc. There were also people boating and even some took a bath even if the water is still cold. We just wished that we had inflatable boats with us so it was also possible for us to be boating,:) But maybe next time coz for sure there will be another fellowship during summer time.

So tired!!

I'm really tired today coz I slept at 2am last night and got up at 8am to attend the 9:30am Mass at St. Joseph Church. I talked for a while with my friends after the Mass and went to my "kuskos" afterwards. I worked there for 3 and 1/2 hours and then walked for about 20 minutes to my apartment. I ate oatmeal as I arrived here and I'm really exhausted. I'll take a nap very soon and I just hop that I have a hammock chair inside my apartment, so I can sleep and relax in it, instead of usually lying in bed. I need some change,:)

Back from the weekend

hi everyone! I'm already here in my apartment. I went home early coz I worked at my "kuskos" for 3 and a half hours after the 9:30am Mass.

Beauty session

We had a beauty session yesterday afternoon at Ate Bren's place. She invited one of her friends who is a dealer of a certain beauty product line and we had much fun coz her friend also speaks Visayan,hehehe. She told us about the different products and allowed us to use the samples unto our faces and hands. The products were really nice and we liked them all. And so, we were confused what to order with our budget. We just can't order everything,:) But Ate Bren ordered most of the products since she wants to get rid of her skin problem. Some of the products she ordered were facial cream, lip treatment set, silky hands set and cream for acne treatments. And most of us also ordered the silky hands set for our damaged hands coz of "kuskos",:) I'm really excited to use the products and see the change in my damaged hands.

Labor day and delicious food

Hi everyone! I just got back from my Labor day off and I spent the day at Ate Bren's place with my dear friends. We had a lot of fun there just talking, playing cards and eating. Yes, eating and I'm so sorry coz I pigged-out once again,:( I'm not really happy, but I was not able to resist the delicious foods that Ate Bren prepared for all of us. There were baked potato, roasted beef, salad (very tasty) and vegetables. Actually, I was not that guilty coz we all pigged-out,hehehe.

But anyways, I'm really happy coz Ate Bren invited me and best to go with her and her family to Poland this coming July 13-19. Of course we said yes and I'm so excited! Actually, Ate is planning to invite all the girls to their travels and me and best are the lucky ones to be joining them in Poland. Then in their Germany trip, it will be Tonet's turn. And Ate Bren said that she'll already start looking for cheap tickets and hotel deals since we already said yes to the invitation. I'm really excited!
